YouTube channel banner 2560×1440
The full-width image across the top of a channel page. Desktop, tablet and phone each show a different crop of the same file, so it has to be composed around the safe area.

Framing advice
- Keep all type and the logo inside the central 1546 × 423 safe area and treat the rest as expendable canvas.
- Do not push the subject to the far left or right: TV shows more width, mobile keeps only a middle strip.
- Shrink the image to phone width before uploading — far more reliable than judging on a 27-inch display.
The most common failure
Putting the channel tagline at the top of the image: fine on desktop, cropped away on phones.
